# coinop — Acceptable Use Policy

coinop sells stateless API calls, paid per request in USDC via the x402 protocol.
There are no accounts: a caller is identified only by the wallet that paid. These
terms apply to every request, and paying for a call does not grant any right to use
it for the purposes prohibited below.

## 1. What you may not send us

You may not submit content to any endpoint — including `/v1/document-to-markdown`,
`/v1/extract`, `/v1/summarize`, `/v1/embed`, and `/v1/rerank` — that:

- is unlawful to possess or distribute in the United States, including child sexual
  abuse material (CSAM), which we report to the National Center for Missing &
  Exploited Children and to law enforcement;
- you do not have the rights to reproduce, or whose processing here would infringe
  a third party's copyright, trademark, or trade secret;
- contains another person's personal or sensitive data that you have no lawful basis
  to process;
- is designed to attack the service or its upstream providers (malware, or payloads
  intended to trigger unbounded resource use).

## 2. What you may not do with the outputs

- Do not use `/v1/search`, `/v1/docs`, or `/v1/geocode` in a way that breaches the
  terms of the upstream providers those endpoints front, or that circumvents a
  publisher's access controls, paywalls, or `robots.txt` directives.
- Do not use the webhook inbox (`/v1/inbox`, `/hook/:id`) to receive, relay, or
  launder traffic in furtherance of unlawful activity, or to direct unsolicited or
  attack traffic at third parties.
- Do not present outputs as human-authored where doing so is deceptive, or rely on
  them as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

## 3. Logging and abuse response

We log request metadata — timestamp, route, response status, payer wallet address,
and settlement reference — for billing, abuse investigation, and legal compliance.
Request and response bodies are not retained as a matter of course; short-lived
caching of derived results may occur to serve repeat requests.

We may refuse, rate-limit, or permanently block any wallet address, and disclose
retained metadata to law enforcement where legally required or where we believe in
good faith it is necessary to address unlawful use.

## 4. Copyright complaints

Send notices to **abuse@aicoinop.net**, identifying the material, the endpoint
involved, and your contact details, with a statement made under penalty of perjury
that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will act on
properly formed notices, including blocking the payer wallet where appropriate.

## 5. Payment, refunds, and availability

Payments settle on-chain and are **final and non-refundable**, including where a
call returns an error after settlement. The service is provided "as is", without
warranty of any kind, and may change, degrade, or be withdrawn without notice.
Endpoints that front third-party providers return HTTP 503 when unconfigured; that
is not a payable failure.
